Ruth has been working in the marine field for over 15 years. She joined EurOcean in 2014 as a Science Officer. Ruth is currently responsible for EurOcean´s contribution to the INTAROS project, as well as supporting the Professor Mário Ruivo prize activities and financial and administration issues.

Ruth previously worked as a researcher and project manager in fisheries and conservation studies. She has been involved in various international projects including RISC-KIT (FP7), Sea for Society (FP7), EMPAFISH (FP6), and CODTRACE (FP5). She also contributes as a member of the editorial secretariat to the scientific journal, Arquipélago – Life and Marine Sciences.

Ruth holds a degree in Zoology and a PhD in Marine Ecology.
